The reign of King Ahaz comes to a close with his death, marking the transition of power to his son Hezekiah. Following his passing, he is laid to rest alongside his ancestors in the City of David.

However, the Book of Chronicles provides a crucial additional detail regarding his final resting place. While Ahaz was indeed buried within the city limits, he was denied the honor of being placed inside the official royal tombs [רלב״ג].
