I Chronicles 8:27Sefaria

וְיַעֲרֶשְׁיָ֧ה וְאֵלִיָּ֛ה וְזִכְרִ֖י בְּנֵ֥י יְרֹחָֽם׃

The genealogical records of the tribe of Benjamin hold a fascinating tradition regarding the identity of one of the most prominent prophets. Embedded within the family tree is a reference to Elijah, which early traditions identify as Elijah the Prophet himself. Because this record traces the lineage of Benjamin, it establishes that Elijah was a descendant of Rachel. This lineage presents a striking contrast to another well-known tradition that identifies him with Phinehas. A classical account even describes a dialogue in which Elijah personally declares to the sages that he stems from Rachel's line, pointing to this exact family record as proof of his heritage. Furthermore, the various names listed alongside his in this context are actually understood to be four distinct names by which Elijah himself was known [רד״ק].

As the family line concludes by mentioning the sons of a man named Jeroham, it is likely that this father figure is not a newly introduced individual. Rather, he is an ancestor who was already listed earlier in the genealogy, simply referred to here by an alternate name [מצודת דוד].
