Managing the kingdom required capable leaders to oversee vast and diverse territories. Baana son of Ahilud was entrusted with a massive geographic region that encompassed the Jordan Valley and the Beit She'an Valley. His jurisdiction included major cities like Taanach and Megiddo, as well as the entire Beit She'an area located near Zarethan, just below the Jezreel region.
The borders of his domain were clearly defined to mark the far reaches of his authority. On one end, his territory extended from Beit She'an all the way to Abel-meholah. From the opposite side, the boundary stretched outward to Yokmeam, marking the other extreme edge of his assigned land [מצודת דוד, מצודת ציון].
