It is only with God's help that a person gathers true strength and courage [מצודת ציון], bringing a deep sense of confidence that He is the one who will ultimately crush and trample our enemies [מצודת דוד].

Alongside this straightforward understanding, a deeper spiritual perspective reveals that this strength takes the form of a heavenly army. When individuals act with God's help and observe His commandments, their righteous deeds create holy angels. These angels join together to form a powerful spiritual camp. Consequently, there is no need to rely on human soldiers to manage earthly conflicts. The angelic army, born directly from a person's good actions, is the true force that tramples the enemies [אלשיך, חומת אנך].

Furthermore, this battle is not limited to external threats. It applies equally to the quiet, internal struggle every person faces. Relying solely on human effort to defeat one's negative urges is ultimately useless. However, by observing the commandments with God's help, a person builds that same spiritual army of angels. These divine forces then step in to provide true salvation, actively crushing the evil inclination from within [אלשיך].
