The construction of the altar required precise craftsmanship, particularly regarding its distinct shape and materials. At the top of the structure, straight, square extensions rose from each of the four corners. These raised sections were not crafted from separate pieces of material and attached afterward. Instead, the builders formed them as a seamless, inseparable part of the main body of the altar. Once the base and its four corners were fully carved into a single unit, the entire structure was carefully overlaid with a layer of copper.
