When documenting the birth of Jeush, Shemariah, and Zaham, the historical account focuses entirely on a single mother. Even though multiple wives were introduced just before this moment, the birth of these three sons is attributed to only one woman.

The primary approach among commentators is that only one of those previously mentioned wives actually gave birth to these children. There are two practical reasons why the other wife is left out of this specific family line. She may have passed away, or she simply did not have any sons.
