The fate of Jerusalem is sealed with absolute certainty through prophetic warning.

The primary approach among commentators is that the Chaldean army is destined to eventually return and wage war against the inhabitants of the city. The military campaign will be fully renewed. At the conclusion of this assault, Jerusalem will be completely captured and burned to the ground.
