As the boundaries of the unconquered territories are established, the focus shifts to the northern and eastern regions. One major area is the land belonging to the Giblites [רד״ק]. This territory is centered around Gebal, a prominent commercial city situated along the coastline of northern Lebanon [ביאור שטיינזלץ].

The boundary line then traces the northern edge of the land, stretching across from east to west [רש״י, מלבי״ם]. This vast northern expanse encompasses the entirety of Lebanon in the east, beginning from Baal-gad at the foot of Mount Hermon. It is a massive territory that covers much of what is considered modern-day Syria [ביאור שטיינזלץ].

The eastern border line in the northern corner of the land stretches from Baal-gad to the absolute edge of the territory [רש״י]. Moving across the width of the land toward the west, the border eventually reaches the entrance of Hamath. This specific location serves as the definitive northwestern corner of the entire land [רש״י, מלבי״ם].
