On the ninth day of the dedication offerings, the leader of the tribe of Benjamin stepped forward to present his gift. Beyond simply identifying this man, his name contains prophetic hints regarding major historical figures who would eventually emerge from his tribe, along with the dramatic events they would face [אור החיים].

One interpretation links his identity directly to King Saul. The meaning embedded in his name reflects the deep respect King David later showed when addressing Saul as a father. At the same time, it points to the strict judgment decreed upon Saul when God removed the kingdom from him.

A second approach connects the leader to Mordecai, the descendant who successfully destroyed the line of Amalek. The name of the leader's father completes this historical vision, symbolizing how Saul's royal line was abruptly cut down. This severing of his kingdom was a direct result of Saul's failure to completely wipe out Amalek, a mission left for his descendants to finish.
