Because of this exclusive love, God promises physical safety, protecting the individual from deadly beasts [מצודת דוד] and from all enemies or sources of harm [אבן עזרא, רד״ק]. This rescue is intimately personal. God acts directly on the believer's behalf, bypassing the mediation of angels. The intervention is so absolute that it does not even require the person to pray for it, representing the ultimate expression of complete, direct divine providence [אלשיך, רד״ק, מאירי].

Beyond mere survival, God promises to elevate the believer, granting them immense strength and serving as their personal fortress and stronghold [מצודת ציון, מאירי, ביאור שטיינזלץ]. This added layer of power is given because the individual possesses a deep knowledge of God. This knowledge can be understood as a familiarity with God that naturally leads to a profound reverence [מצודת דוד], or as an unwavering loyalty and remembrance of Him even while enduring the hardships of exile among the nations [מאירי]. From a more spiritual perspective, this knowledge represents a deep grasp of the secrets hidden within God's name, particularly His explicit, holy Name [אלשיך, אבן עזרא]. Such profound understanding reflects a pure love for God, granting the individual the highest level of divine protection and providence possible while still living in the physical world [רד״ק].
