The future borders of the Land of Israel are mapped out through a series of specific geographic landmarks, detailing how they relate to one another to form an expanded territory. The boundary begins its path at Hamath. However, [רד״ק, מצודת דוד] emphasize that this is not the familiar city mentioned earlier in the Torah. Instead, it is a significantly larger city that will be incorporated into the future borders. From there, the line travels to Berothah and Sibraim. These locations sit squarely between the eastern border of Damascus and the western border of Hamath [מצודת דוד]. Alternatively, this geographic middle ground might refer specifically to the exact placement of Sibraim [ביאור שטיינזלץ].

Damascus itself is situated in the east, resting close to the corner of the boundary [רש״י]. Notably, in the future era, the city of Damascus will be considered a part of the Land of Israel [רד״ק, מצודת דוד].

From Damascus, the border continues its eastward march toward Hazar-hatticon [ביאור שטיינזלץ]. This is a distinct place, which Targum Yonathan identifies as the Pool of Agbai [רש״י, רד״ק]. This location rests near the edge of the Hauran region, an area situated beyond the Golan to its south. A clear distinction is made regarding this final area: while cities like Damascus and Hamath will be brought within the new borders, the Hauran region itself will remain outside the Land of Israel [מצודת דוד, ביאור שטיינזלץ].
