Deep within the Holy of Holies, the physical presence of the Cherubim dominates the sacred space. Their measurements are deliberately designed to form a single, unbroken canopy of wings that stretches across the entire room. The second cherub is positioned perfectly to complete this span. One of its wings extends exactly five cubits outward, reaching all the way to touch the far wall of the chamber. At the same time, its inner wing, also measuring five cubits, reaches inward to meet the extended wing of the first cherub.

Because each wing spans five cubits, a single cherub has a total wingspan of ten cubits. When positioned side by side, the two figures create a continuous, twenty-cubit expanse. This unbroken line of wings covers the entire width of the room, connecting one wall directly to the other.
