The preparation of the Temple required the creation of specific golden vessels to serve various functions in the Sanctuary. Among these items were golden tables and basins, each designed with a distinct purpose for the daily service.

The tables were positioned carefully within the Sanctuary, with five placed on the right and five on the left. The left direction refers to the northern side, specifically positioned to the left of the original Table of the Showbread [רש״י].

Alongside these tables, one hundred golden basins were crafted. These basins had a very specific role: they were designed to catch the blood of the animal sacrifices so that it could be sprinkled upon the altar. Grouping the basins next to the tables in the record of the Temple's construction might cause some confusion, as it could imply that the two types of vessels were used together. However, they functioned completely independently. They are simply mentioned together in this account to create a consolidated list of the different vessels that were crafted from gold [רד״ק].
