II Chronicles 4:22Sefaria

The construction of the Temple required careful attention to the materials used for its sacred items, elevating the daily service through the use of pure gold. A variety of tools and musical instruments were crafted entirely from this precious metal to serve different functions in the sacrificial order, the bread offering, and the incense service. Among these were basins specifically designed to throw the blood of the sacrifices against the altar [רש״י]. Additionally, there were special ladles used to hold the frankincense placed upon the rows of the Showbread The service also required firepans, which functioned as tools to scoop up glowing coals for the incense offering and to clear away the ash from the altar All of these essential vessels were fashioned from solid gold.

Beyond the vessels, the entryways of the Temple reflected this same standard of grandeur. The primary approach among commentators is that the inner doors leading into the Holy of Holies, as well as the outer doors opening into the Sanctuary, were golden. However, there are differing views regarding how these doors were built. [רד״ק] explains that they were not forged from solid gold, but were instead wooden doors completely overlaid with gold. Taking a different perspective, [רלב״ג] describes a more complex structure consisting of four doors at each entrance. In this arrangement, the two inner doors were made of solid gold, while the two outer doors were made of wood overlaid with gold.

Offering a unique perspective on the entryways, [מלבי״ם] suggests that the text is not referring to the physical openings of the building at all. Instead, it refers to the actual keys of the Temple. According to this view, even the keys used to unlock the doors of both the Holy of Holies and the Sanctuary were crafted from gold.
