King Solomon’s immense wisdom faces a direct challenge when the Queen of Sheba arrives to test him with complex questions. He rises to the occasion, proving his abilities flawlessly. The primary approach among commentators is that every single inquiry she presents to him is met with a complete and thorough answer. There is not a single detail hidden from his understanding, nor a riddle too difficult for him to solve [מצודת דוד].

Seeing that Solomon successfully resolves every challenge without missing a single element, the queen is entirely convinced. She openly admits that the widespread rumors she had heard regarding his remarkable intellect are entirely true and accurate [רש״י]. Interestingly, the historical memory of this encounter extends beyond this moment; some of the specific riddles the Queen of Sheba posed to Solomon were actually preserved and later recorded within the text of the Targum Sheni to the Book of Esther [רש״י].
