A severe punishment of destruction and disgrace is decreed upon the royal family, a judgment so harsh that it denies them even the dignity of a proper burial after death. This devastating fate is not limited to the king alone. Instead, the judgment applies to every single person who belongs to his family and his entire household [מצודת דוד].

The absolute certainty of this approaching disaster is beyond question because the decree comes directly from God. Since God is the one who issued this judgment, He possesses the complete power and authority to ensure that His word is fully carried out [מצודת דוד].
