The capture itself will be absolute, with the fleeing individual being seized and held firmly by sheer force [מצודת ציון].

However, the immediate captors will not be the ones to end his life. Instead, their specific role is to take him into custody and hand him over alive [מצודת דוד]. Following this forceful arrest, a direct confrontation will take place. The captive will be brought before the King of Babylon [מצודת דוד] for a face-to-face conversation [ביאור שטיינזלץ]. Ultimately, this sequence of events will conclude with him being taken away into exile in Babylon [ביאור שטיינזלץ].
