Jeremiah prepares a feast for the Rechabites, presenting wine to them in an organized and inviting manner. Commentators agree that the scene involves two distinct types of vessels, differing in shape and size, which are meant to work together to complete the drinking process. First, there are large containers used to bring the wine to the table completely full. Second, there are smaller cups meant for the actual drinking. By placing both types of vessels together, Jeremiah creates a proper setup where the wine can be easily poured from the large containers directly into the smaller cups, fully prepared for the guests to drink.
