As the tribe of Judah continued their military campaign, they turned their attention toward the coastal plain. In this region, they successfully captured Gaza, Ashkelon, and Ekron, which are widely known as three major Philistine cities.

Their victory extended beyond the city walls. Along with the urban centers themselves, the men of Judah took control of the surrounding borders, securing all the adjacent territories and lands connected to each location.
