God's absolute and unlimited control over every level of reality serves as the clearest proof of His supremacy. Unlike angels or celestial systems, which cannot act independently but remain entirely subject to His will, God operates throughout the world without any restriction or hindrance [רד״ק]. This boundless authority proves His complete unity. If other deities existed, the governance of the universe would be divided among different regions or elements. Instead, because God rules and executes His desires simultaneously in all places, it is clear that no opposing force can protest or limit His power [אלשיך].

The focus extends beyond the initial act of creating the heavens and the earth, emphasizing that God actively does whatever He desires within them [מלבי״ם]. His greatness is visible in the everyday workings of nature and His ongoing governance over the entire world [ביאור שטיינזלץ]. This continuous control covers everything from the formation of light, clouds, and heavenly bodies, to the sustaining of all levels of existence, including inanimate objects, plants, animals, and humans [מלבי״ם].

Alongside His guidance of ordinary natural processes, God's ability to fulfill His will also includes the power to completely alter the laws of nature. In the heavens, He can cancel or modify the natural forces assigned to stars and constellations, while on earth, He can change the very properties of nature itself [מאירי]. This absolute dominion extends into the waters, encompassing the oceans and seas [רד״ק], the rivers [רד״ק], and the deep waters beneath the earth [ביאור שטיינזלץ, מצודת ציון]. Within these watery realms, God's power to override the natural order has been shown historically, such as during the splitting of the Red Sea and the dividing of the Jordan River [מאירי].
