God holds the power to overturn the established order of the world, proving that physical strength and military fortifications offer no true guarantee of safety. When people place their trust in their own might and the high walls of their cities, God can completely shatter that false sense of security and shift the balance of power.

The commentators agree that God actively strengthens and empowers forces to achieve this reversal, though they differ on how this unfolds. According to one perspective, God takes those who are weak, plundered, and at their lowest point, and grants them extraordinary power. He overturns the natural order, allowing the vulnerable to rise up and defeat the fierce and strong. Another approach understands this dynamic differently, focusing on the sheer force of destruction. In this view, God amplifies the power of ruin or a plundering enemy, directing it against a mighty nation. The core message is a warning against relying on physical defenses.
