The entrance to the Tabernacle courtyard was carefully framed by symmetrical structures. Following the layout of the first side of the gate, the parallel section mirrors its design. This opposite side connects to the remaining length of the courtyard, serving as the second half of the entranceway.

The primary approach among commentators is that the materials used for this boundary do not consist of fifteen separate curtains. Instead, the measurement describes a continuous curtain spanning a total length of fifteen cubits. To properly support this stretch of fabric, three pillars were erected and firmly set into three foundational sockets.
