A sudden encounter requires a clear confirmation of identity. Elijah plainly acknowledges who he is, confirming without hesitation that he is indeed the man being sought. Immediately after making himself known, he takes charge of the situation by assigning a direct mission to the person standing before him. He instructs him to go to his master, King Ahab, with a straightforward message. The messenger is simply tasked with officially announcing that Elijah has arrived.
