As the land is divided among the Israelites, the territory given to the tribe of Judah includes a specific group of settlements. This region contains the cities of Maon, Carmel, Ziph, and Juttah.
While mapping out these locations, a familiar name appears. Although the city of Ziph is listed in this group, it is a completely different town from another settlement with the exact same name mentioned earlier in the allocation of the tribe's land [מצודת דוד]. Though they share identical names, they remain two separate cities within the borders of Judah.
