Delilah's frustration peaks after a string of disappointments, and she demands an end to the games. This pressure pushes Samson to reveal a secret that treads dangerously close to the true source of his power: the hair on his head. She confronts him, insisting that if his intention all along was simply to laugh and play jokes on her, he has had his fun and must finally tell the truth [מצודת דוד]. At this stage, Delilah fully realizes that all of his previous explanations were nothing more than lies meant to mock her [מלבי״ם].
In response, Samson instructs her to take the seven thick braids and curls of hair on his head [רש״י, רד״ק, מצודת ציון, ביאור שטיינזלץ] and weave them. He had grown this hair as part of his vow as a Nazirite [מצודת דוד]. He tells her to weave his hair directly into the warp threads stretched tightly across a wooden weaving loom [רש״י, מצודת ציון, ביאור שטיינזלץ]. His hair is to be fully integrated and woven right into the fabric itself [רד״ק, ביאור שטיינזלץ].
Once the hair is thoroughly woven into the loom, she must drive a pin to secure the wooden beam holding the rolled fabric, ensuring the entire structure cannot move from its place [רד״ק]. Samson assures her that if she completes this binding process, his strength will be entirely drained, leaving him trapped and unable to break free [מצודת דוד].
