A great gathering of singers took place, drawing musicians from all over to join together [ביאור שטיינזלץ]. This widespread assembly included individuals living within Jerusalem itself, as well as those residing in the surrounding regions [מצודת דוד].

Many of these singers traveled from the plains, specifically the flatlands [מצודת ציון] that encircled Jerusalem [רש״י]. Additionally, others arrived from rural settlements near Netophah. These specific areas functioned as camps and family residential compounds established close to the main town [ביאור שטיינזלץ].
