A foundation of absolute truth requires the complete removal of falsehood from one's life. Maintaining integrity means refusing to allow deceit or lies to take root in one's home or leadership. A person who acts with deceit [אבן עזרא, מאירי] is completely barred from entering this space of integrity. The primary approach among commentators is that such individuals are denied any role, appointment, or seat at the table [רד״ק, אבן עזרא]. Taking a stricter stance, some argue that if a deceitful person accidentally wanders into the home, they are immediately expelled and given no chance to rest [אלשיך]. Conversely, another perspective suggests that active expulsion is unnecessary. A home managed with truth and justice naturally repels deceit. A dishonest person simply cannot maintain a righteous disguise in such an environment and will be naturally driven away [מלבי״ם].

The standard for truth becomes even stricter when dealing with someone who actively speaks lies. While a deceitful actor is merely prevented from sitting and settling down, a liar is denied any opportunity to stand or become established [ביאור שטיינזלץ, מצודת דוד]. This rejection is so severe that a liar is not even permitted to be seen or to stand in the presence of the leader [רד״ק, אלשיך].

This strict standard of human leadership mirrors the Divine reality. The sages elevate this concept, explaining that liars form one of four groups permanently barred from greeting the Divine Presence [תורה תמימה]. This absolute distancing of falsehood from God is evident when God commanded a lying spirit to depart from His presence. The demand for truth in the spiritual realms is so absolute that it leaves no room for even innocent errors. When entering the deepest spiritual secrets, Rabbi Akiva warned his fellow sages not to mistakenly cry out "water, water" upon encountering pure, transparent marble stones. Even a false statement resulting from an honest visual mistake cannot be tolerated before the eyes of God [תורה תמימה].
