Recognizing God's greatness across the dimension of time is a fundamental duty for all creations. There is an explicit call and directive for every conscious being to praise and bless His name [רד״ק].

This obligation stems from the reality that God's providence guides every single detail of the world. Because He watches over everything, it is proper to bless Him and declare, "Blessed are You, God," for every pleasure experienced, every Commandment fulfilled, and every expression of gratitude [אלשיך].

Furthermore, this offering of praise is not a temporary act but one designed to last for eternity [ביאור שטיינזלץ]. It spans two distinct eras. The first represents the present, applying directly to those who have carried the obligation to offer blessings ever since the Torah was given. The second era extends infinitely forward, encompassing all future time to come [רד״ק, אלשיך].
