The creation of the golden lampstand involved more than just crafting its central frame and branches. To ensure it functioned properly, a complete set of accessories was required for its daily lighting and routine maintenance.
Resting upon the branches were seven individual containers. These cups were specifically designed to hold the oil and the wicks needed to produce the light. Alongside these, specialized tools were crafted to help manage the flames. Tongs were made to carefully grip and adjust the wicks. Additionally, small spoon-like scraping tools were created to scoop away burnt wicks and clear out old oil. Just like the main body of the lampstand itself, every single one of these accompanying tools and containers was crafted entirely from pure gold.
