Exodus 37:25Sefaria

The construction of the Tabernacle's inner space required careful organization, grouping the sacred vessels according to their physical placement. In this practical arrangement, the incense altar naturally finds its home alongside the other inner holy objects.

This sequence highlights a distinct shift between God's original instructions and the actual building process. When God first gave the instructions, the incense altar was mentioned last, completely separated from the other inner vessels. However, the unique reasons that delayed its mention during the instruction phase do not apply to the practical construction. As a result, the building process groups it logically within the Tabernacle's inner space

At this stage, the focus remains entirely on the physical creation of the altar. Because of this strictly practical focus, the additional laws and procedures that were outlined during the initial instructions, such as its exact placement, the daily routine of burning incense, and the sprinkling of blood on its corners, are left out. Those details are reserved for a later time when they become relevant to the actual service [קאסוטו].

As the altar was built, the horns on its corners were crafted as a single, solid piece, forming an inseparable part of the main body. Although the unified construction is emphasized, the exact physical shape of these horns is not explicitly detailed [ביאור שטיינזלץ].
