Although the figures are described as spreading their wings, this does not imply an active, ongoing motion. Since they were inanimate objects without life, this reflects a permanent, passive state. Their wings were permanently fixed in a spread position to constantly shield the Ark Cover [אוהב גר].

The design of their faces combines two different lines of sight. They were positioned to face one another, yet their focus was simultaneously directed toward the Ark Cover. This dual orientation reveals that they did not look perfectly straight at each other. Instead, their faces were gently tilted, naturally guiding their gaze downward toward the Ark Cover [ביאור שטיינזלץ].
