The ultimate goal of a spiritual journey is to create a lasting shift, both internally and in practice. For the Israelites, reality itself will change in a way that naturally leads them to fulfill God's will [מצודת ציון].

This transformation means the people will not merely go through the motions of obedience. Instead, they will guard the laws and statutes deep within their hearts while actively carrying them out in their daily lives [מצודת דוד].

As a result of this profound internal and external change, a mutual relationship is formed. On one side, the Israelites commit to believing in God and carefully observing His commandments. In return, God promises to grant them His full protection, saving them and rescuing them from harm [מצודת דוד].
