The king of Aram's suspicion that a traitor hides within his ranks is met with a startling revelation from one of his servants. The intelligence leak is not the work of a human spy, but the result of prophetic vision.

The servant completely dismisses the king's fears, making it clear that no informant is betraying their military secrets. Instead, the true reason their ambush locations are constantly exposed is Elisha the prophet. Through prophecy, Elisha sees exactly where the Aramean forces are stationed and relays this highly classified information directly to the king of Israel.

To illustrate the vast scope of Elisha's abilities, the servant points out that the prophet knows even the words spoken in the absolute privacy of the king's bedroom. This level of awareness extends far beyond military strategy and troop movements. His prophetic reach is so comprehensive that he is aware of even the most ordinary, mundane, and seemingly unimportant conversations the king has behind closed doors [חומת אנך].
