False prophets often use spiritual authority to spread their own messages, claiming to speak on behalf of the divine. There is a general consensus among commentators that the individuals presenting themselves as God's messengers are acting with complete deceit. Everything they claim to declare in His name is an absolute lie. The underlying reason for this falsehood is straightforward and clear: God never sent them to deliver these prophecies in the first place.
