Even as enemies seek to destroy him, convinced that God has abandoned him [רד״ק, אבן עזרא], the individual remains steadfast. Left entirely without friends, human protectors, or any earthly shelter [מלבי״ם, ביאור שטיינזלץ], he actively chooses to place his trust in God, refusing to give in to fear [מצודת דוד].

This profound trust is expressed with deliberate care and deep respect. When speaking to heaven, one must pause and communicate clearly, recognizing the vast distance between man on earth and God above. Acknowledging this boundary ensures that any declaration of faith is spoken with reverence, rather than in a rushed or thoughtless manner that fails to honor His greatness [מנחת שי].

Declaring God as one's personal Master and Judge is an acknowledgment that He alone is the true Savior against any threat [רד״ק, מצודת דוד, מלבי״ם]. Beyond physical rescue, this declaration carries a deep spiritual weight.
