Placing the holy vessels inside the Tent of Meeting marks the practical stage of shaping the newly built sacred space. The position of the table is carefully mapped out. It is placed on the side of the tent, a detail that draws a direct conceptual parallel to the human body. Just as a thigh is located on the outer side of a person, the table is positioned along the side of the sanctuary [רש״י, ביאור שטיינזלץ]. More precisely, it sits within the northern half of the Tabernacle's width [רש״י, ביאור יש״ר].

Additionally, the table is set just outside the dividing veil. Because the veil serves as a strict partition separating the standard holy area from the deeply sacred inner Holy of Holies, the table must remain in the outer section [ביאור שטיינזלץ]. This exact placement of the table in the Tent of Meeting—specifically on its northern side and outside the veil—represents the complete application and fulfillment of the earlier commands given for arranging the Tabernacle [קאסוטו].
