The future division of the land among the tribes of Israel is organized into parallel strips stretching from east to west. The tribe of Judah is designated to receive its portion in the exact same format as the rest of the tribes, sharing an identical layout.

The dimensions of this inheritance are precisely calculated [רד״ק]. The width of each tribal strip is set at twenty-five thousand reeds. Because each reed measures six cubits, the total width of the land strip amounts to one hundred and fifty thousand cubits. When converting this into standard distance measurements, where a single mile consists of two thousand cubits, the total width of Judah's designated land spans exactly seventy-five miles.
