The material success of the wicked in this world is often total and comprehensive. Contrary to the assumption that they live in constant fear and instability, their physical abundance is entirely secure, extending even to their livestock, which reproduce without a single flaw [מלבי״ם]. This physical prosperity serves as their complete portion in this world. However, this earthly wealth ultimately stands in sharp contrast to their sudden downfall and spiritual punishment in the world to come [תקות אנוש, אלשיך].

The primary approach among commentators is that this prosperity is illustrated through a perfect, flawless reproductive process among their animals, highlighting the distinct roles of both the male and the female. First, the male bull successfully impregnates the female [רש״י, מצודת דוד, ביאור שטיינזלץ]. This act of creating life occurs perfectly [מלבי״ם, אבן עזרא, תקות אנוש]. Nothing is wasted or rejected; rather, the seed is firmly absorbed deep within the womb, guaranteeing a certain pregnancy without fail [רש״י, מצודת דוד, אבן עזרא].

In the final stage, the female's success is equally guaranteed. The cow brings her calf into the world easily and at the exact proper time [רש״י, רלב״ג, מצודת ציון]. Furthermore, she is protected from any loss of her offspring, ensuring that she will never miscarry prematurely or lose the newborn calf after birth [רש״י, מצודת דוד, מצודת ציון].
