Human hostility loses all its power and meaning when it encounters Divine will and protection. Standing against fierce adversaries, absolute trust in God provides a shield against any malicious intent. The primary approach among commentators is that there is no reason to fear human curses when one is completely confident in God's blessing. While enemies may curse out of their deeply ingrained, evil habits [מאירי], Divine intervention entirely neutralizes their power. God does not merely offer a parallel blessing to counteract the harm; He actively transforms the enemies' curses into actual blessings [מצודת דוד].

When adversaries rise up with the intention to cause harm, their malicious plans are destined to fail, ultimately bringing them defeat and disgrace [רד״ק, מצודת דוד, שטיינזלץ]. Even if this downfall is not immediately visible, it is an absolute certainty for the future. The enemies will eventually face deep shame for daring to attack God's servant [מאירי]. In stark contrast to their humiliation, God's servant will experience immense joy, celebrating both his personal rescue and the collapse of those who sought to destroy him [מצודת דוד].

A deeper layer of this dynamic reveals that this dramatic reversal is not meant only to save the victim, but also to deliver a profound spiritual message to the attackers themselves. When the enemies witness their curses becoming blessings and experience their own bitter shame, they will be forced to recognize that God firmly stands with His servant. They will look back and realize that any past success they had in causing harm was never a result of their own strength. Instead, it was a Divine decree brought about by the servant's past sins. The ultimate proof of this reality is that now, even when the servant is at his lowest and most vulnerable state, God extends His mercy and actively prevents the enemies from causing any further damage [אלשיך].
