Psalms 109:6Sefaria

A severe and piercing curse is directed at a single individual, expressing a deep desire to subject him to a cruel ruler with a relentless accuser by his side. The true identity of both the one speaking and the one being cursed is a matter of profound debate. One approach suggests that King David is offering this prayer against his enemies, focusing specifically on the chief among the wicked who pursue him, such as Doeg the Edomite [רד״ק]. Looking through a historical lens, this is also interpreted as a curse directed at the wicked Haman [אלשיך]. Conversely, an opposing view understands these words not as David's prayer, but as a direct quote from his many enemies, who are actively wishing harm upon David himself

The core of the request involves granting governing authority and power to an oppressor The hope is to place the targeted individual under the absolute control of someone just as wicked, who will show him no mercy This can be understood as appointing a corrupt judge to pass a cruel sentence, much like David's enemies hoped King Saul would condemn him to death [מלבי״ם]. According to the interpretation surrounding Haman, the wicked authority appointed over him is King Ahasuerus [אלשיך].

Alongside this cruel ruler, the curse calls for an adversary to stand firmly at the individual's right hand. There are two primary ways to understand the nature of this accuser. It may refer to a human enemy, instigator, or opposing advisor The role of this human opponent is to remain constantly at his side, ready to level accusations against him, especially during a trial On the other hand, this adversary is viewed as a higher spiritual force. It could be a destructive angel designed to sabotage and curse all of his actions [רד״ק], or a literal spiritual accuser who actively fueled the king's anger against Haman [אלשיך]. Ultimately, taking a position at the right hand symbolizes an immediate, ever-present readiness to accuse, obstruct, and actively oppose every single action the individual attempts to take
