God's displays of power for His people are never meant to be isolated, local events. Instead, they echo across the entire world, serving as a global testament to His historical loyalty. The primary approach among commentators is that God's expressions of kindness and faithfulness represent the specific kindness He promised to Israel and His unwavering loyalty to fulfill that promise by bringing them out of exile.

Looking deeper into this relationship reveals a profound intimacy. God is compared to a husband who, out of deep mercy, takes on the responsibility of atoning for his wife. Through this lens of compassion, He acts to redeem Israel. Additionally, this redemption occurs because God's own name and the Divine Presence are intimately bound to the people of Israel, meaning that their salvation also serves to uphold His honor [חומת אנך].

When God acts on behalf of Israel, their true greatness becomes visible to everyone [ביאור שטיינזלץ]. This visibility reaches the absolute edges of the earth, touching the most distant populated regions of the world [אבן עזרא, מצודת דוד, ביאור שטיינזלץ]. Commentators point to specific historical moments when this global awareness took place. One perspective links this worldwide recognition to the Exodus from Egypt and the splitting of the Red Sea. According to this view, God orchestrated the events so that the Israelites would leave with great wealth, enticing the Egyptians to pursue them. This pursuit culminated in the splitting of the sea, a miracle that was far from local. At that exact moment, all the waters of the world split, broadcasting the salvation to the furthest reaches of the globe [אלשיך]. Alternatively, another perspective suggests that this worldwide witnessing of God's salvation occurred during the days of Mordecai and Esther, when all the nations of the world were exposed to the miraculous rescue of the Israelites [תורה תמימה].
