תהלים, פרק צ״ט, פסוק ג׳

Psalms 99:3Sefaria

יוֹד֣וּ שִׁ֭מְךָ גָּד֥וֹל וְנוֹרָ֗א קָד֥וֹשׁ הֽוּא׃

A time will come when universal recognition of God's kingship will spread across the globe, uniting all people to praise His power and justice. The nations of the world will eventually accept the truth and declare His praise. This recognition will not be directed toward a generic title, but rather toward the specific, distinguished name of God that was revealed to Moses and the Israelites. Unlike other cultures, only the Israelites possess this distinct name of honor for God [אבן עזרא].

In their acknowledgment, the nations will proclaim His immense greatness, His awe-inspiring nature, and His absolute holiness, thereby broadcasting the power of the King who loves justice [רש״י, מאירי]. The perfection of His greatness is fully realized precisely when His kingship is actively present and felt within the world [חומת אנך].

However, a deep distinction exists between the true nature of God and the limited perception of the nations [אלשיך]. In truth, God is infinitely great in His spirituality, yet He is also actively involved in the physical world, overseeing it and inspiring awe in humanity. The nations, by contrast, tend to limit their acknowledgment to His holiness alone. They mistakenly assume that because He is so elevated and holy, He has no connection to the lower world, believing instead that His oversight and glory are confined entirely to the heavens.
