The detailed inventory of the Tabernacle's inner holy vessels reaches its conclusion by grouping together items that share deep practical and conceptual bonds. This gathering of sacred objects occurs just before the focus shifts outward to the entrance of the tent. In the original instructions for building the sanctuary, the golden altar was presented entirely on its own, separated from the other furnishings. Now, however, the incense altar is grouped directly with the rest of the inner sanctuary vessels, such as the table and the menorah [ברכת אשר על התורה]. This unified listing serves to complete the full roster of the holy vessels [אבן עזרא].

A close relationship is also drawn between the anointing oil and the fragrant incense spices by pairing them together [רש ר הירש]. This connection is highly practical, as the preparation of the anointing oil requires some of the very same spices used in the incense. Furthermore, both the oil and the spices are essential components for the service performed at the incense altar [ביאור שטיינזלץ]. All of these sacred items were fully prepared and carefully positioned in their designated space, located between the inner dividing curtain and the screen at the entrance [אבן עזרא].

Finally, attention turns to the entrance screen itself. This curtain was specifically designed to cover the eastern doorway of the Tabernacle. A dedicated screen was necessary for this location because the eastern side of the structure was completely open, lacking the solid wooden boards and structural fabric coverings that enclosed the other three sides [רש״י].
