The final prophecy directed at the false prophetesses guarantees an absolute end to their deception and offers a divine promise of rescue for the people. The women will be completely stripped of their ability to offer misleading visions or perform magic, as both their predictions and their spells are entirely rooted in lies [מצודת דוד]. This sudden halt to their activities will not occur naturally. Instead, God will personally intervene to destroy and wipe out these deceptive women [מלבי״ם].

The specific nature of their false practices is sometimes understood as necromancy. According to this approach, the women act as mediums, using incantations to supposedly raise the souls of the dead from their graves, making these spirits appear to float and fly through the air [רד״ק].

Once this witchcraft is completely eradicated, the people will be rescued and will no longer be caught in the traps set by the false prophetesses.
