Jehu invites his companion to join him and witness his decisive actions firsthand. He simply asks the man to come along and observe the vengeance he is about to execute.

This revenge is carried out for the sake of God, specifically targeting the house of Ahab and the worshippers of Baal. Following the invitation, the companion is brought up into Jehu's chariot to ride alongside him.
