An emotional prayer brings an immediate response from God, turning a severe medical crisis into a moment of comfort. The prophet receives a sudden command to turn back and visit the ailing king once more to deliver a reassuring promise of rapid recovery. At this critical juncture, Hezekiah is distinctly recognized as the ruler of the people.

God assures the king that He will heal him. Even though Hezekiah is currently in a highly dangerous state, the promised recovery is remarkably swift. He is told that by the third day, his health will improve enough to allow him to safely leave his sickbed and go up to the House of God [ביאור שטיינזלץ].
