ישעיהו, פרק מ״ה, פסוק ו׳

The ultimate purpose behind God's actions in the world is to bring humanity to a universal recognition of His kingship. Unlike mortal humans who often operate in secret out of fear, God announces His plans openly and well in advance. He does this to prove that there is absolutely no opposing force capable of protesting His will or stopping His hand [מצודת דוד].

Because of this undeniable display of power, the knowledge of God's greatness and His name will eventually become known across the entire world [אבן עזרא]. This awareness will spread specifically from the east to the west, mirroring the geographical layout of primary human civilization, which stretches along these horizontal directions rather than from north to south [רד״ק].

Ultimately, the realization that there is absolutely no one besides God teaches that He is the single, unified root of all reality and all the good it contains. It entirely dispels the notion of any alternative forces, making it clear that there is no independent or separate authority responsible for bringing evil or destruction into the world [מלבי״ם].
