The territory granted to the Tribe of Naphtali features several important, protected locations. These are specifically noted as the main fortified cities belonging to the tribe [רש״י, מצודת דוד].

While the exact identities of some of these cities, such as Ha-Ziddim and Zer, remain unclear today, others have distinct geographical origins. Hammath takes its name directly from the natural hot springs located within it. Additionally, the cities of Rakkath and Chinnereth are situated right near the waters of the Sea of Galilee [ביאור שטיינזלץ].
