The careful mapping of tribal lands relies on precise meeting points and sharp shifts in direction to define each territory. The border of the tribe of Asher takes a distinct turn from its northwestern corner and heads east, forming the tribe's northern boundary [מלבי״ם, מצודת דוד]. As it travels eastward, the line reaches Beth-dagon, where it connects and runs alongside the territory of Zebulun, which sits just to the north of Asher [מצודת דוד, מלבי״ם, ביאור שטיינזלץ].

Continuing on this path, the border arrives at the valley of Iphtahel. This valley serves as a shared marker between the tribes, sitting north of Asher's boundary while simultaneously defining the southern edge of Zebulun [מלבי״ם, מצודת דוד]. The border maintains its west-to-east progression, passing by Beth-emek and Neiel.

After passing Neiel, the route changes direction once more, turning sharply to the north. It travels from south to north along the entire eastern edge of Zebulun until it reaches Cabul, located at the northern edge of the Land of Israel. In ancient directional terms, the left side signifies the north, confirming that Cabul and the region above it were granted to the tribe of Asher [מצודת דוד, מלבי״ם]. This same Cabul is identified as the capital city that King Solomon would later give to Hiram, King of Tyre, an act that eventually gave the entire surrounding area the name of the Land of Cabul [מלבי״ם].
