The territory assigned to the tribe of Dan includes a network of cities nestled in the hills and lowlands, situated just northwest of the land belonging to Judah. Within this region lies Jehud, an ancient settlement that was likely located very close to the modern city of Yehud. Another notable location in this area is the biblical town of Bene-berak. While the ancient town does not share the exact footprint of the modern city that bears its name today, it was still rooted in the same general geographic landscape. Completing this local grouping of settlements is the city of Gath-rimmon [שטיינזלץ].
